We haven’t had a guest stay with us yet so when my sister, Christina, said she’d come down for my birthday, I was pretty elated. Christina and I spent a lot of time together when we still lived in Calgary so it’s been extra hard to be separated this long. In fact, it’s the ONLY thing I don’t enjoy about our nomadic life.

We had to get a little creative with the sleeping arrangements in Explorker2. When we renovated the RV, we removed the two other beds to make room for the fireplace and couch full well knowing that it’d be an issue when people came to visit and that we’d figure it out when the time came.

Well, the time was upon us, so we bought a little twin self inflating mattress and had intended to have myself and Kevin sleep on it, but after one night with two humans and 3 dogs competing for a space snuggled up to us, I opted to bunk with my sister in the master.

Nashville was the perfect city to celebrate my 32nd birthday. There are SO many activities and Christina is unbelievably good at picking spots to check out. We went to Franklin, saw Grease at StudioTen, walked Broadway, went to the Nashville Market, and ate our fare share of gluten-free pizza at Mafiaoza’s.

The Yogi Bear Campground did the trick for what we needed. They should stop advertising that they have internet because it was completely unusable at our site, and at the office. Also, the security gate was broken the whole time we were there but we didn’t experience any security issues.

Isn’t my sister the cutest ever?

She also thinks she’s a child…
How’s that working out for ya?

We went out the 3 of us for a night on Broadway. Totally not our scene (we don’t drink much), but the music was amazing!

This place was PACKED with loud music, loud people, and amazing vibes!

Quieter at home snuggling the puppies before bed.

We chose the site farthest away from the office because we knew it’d be quieter and we were right! Problem was, the internet was SO BAD it wasn’t even usable.

The green space beside us was great for the dogs, but they weren’t allowed to play off leash.

The pool opened the day we left, so we went for a swim in the early morning to cool off before the long drive to Fort Smith, MO.
