We really enjoyed Wekusko Falls Provincial Park in Manitoba. If you’re looking for an escape from civilization and are ready to disconnect, this is a good choice. We essentially had zero connectivity even with the 3 bars on the Rogers network. The water needed to be boiled, but that didn’t bother us. We booked bay 1, site 7, right beside a trail to the river. There are a two little foot bridges over the river, Coconut (our doberman) was very skeptical, but Lexy and Pebbles happily strolled across the bridges. Getting Explorker2, our 40-foot motor coach, into the site was easy.
If you need internet, then this may not be the campground for you. The drive on the aging highway to the campground is long and bumpy – secure your dishes. The mosquitos are pesky at times – bring bug repellant. We paid $144 CAD for the site with 30-amp service for the week in addition to $24 for the park pass. The 30-amp service is more like 10-amp service.
Would we come back? Probably not. Would we recommend the trip up here, absolutely!
